The Evolution of Reading Topics

Do you ever think about your reading trends? When I was in grade school I spent a lot of time reading Sports Illustrated for Kids. In high school I read a lot of motivational books. In college I read a ton of news. I never read a ton of text books for class. Strange, I know. But as I approach fatherhood I tend to read the “Family” or “Lifestyle” sections of newspapers. We even began receiving Parenting magazine at home. It’s surreal to educate yourself on some of these topics that always seemed at arm’s length, but now are approaching like a Dustin Byfuglien cross-check. For example, Children Fighting. Check this story out from the Chicago Tribune. Now I know what to do when two children are at odds. It’s all about mediation.
