89 Diapers, 12 Days

Can you believe that Liam has gone through 89 diapers in his 12 days on earth? That is baffling to me. But friends and family told me that was to be expected.

About 85 of those diapers have been made by the good folks at Pampers. I’m a big fan of the Swaddler line of diapers. Minimal blowout factor, solid adhesive and easy to snug. But, Target was out of the Pampers product the other day so Huggies it was. And, the disappointment is palpable. Terrible adhesive, poorly constructed, poor fit. I can’t wait to refill the Swaddler inventory.

Neither of us can believe how poorly Huggies perform.

While we’re on the topic of diapers, we have a gassy baby on our hands. A Helpful Hint in the Baby 411 book reminded us that regardless of what we do to combat Liam’s bubbly ways, he’ll continue with it through about three months. Joy.

have u tried diapers.com? we use them and they deliver the diapers right to your door sometimes the next day but definitely within 2 days. if you order more than $50 it is free shipping and I have found the price is right. also if you google coupon codes for them you can get $10 off your first purchase. if you decide to try let me know, if you give them my referral code then i get $5 off my next purchase too. i try to order 1 box at the first of every month (has about 240 diapers) and it lasts us pretty much the whole month. we hope you are well…we need to set up a skype date soon so carter and liam can meet.

  3. Great Aunt Nancy

So happy for your growing family! Aunt MK sent me your blog. Can sooo relate to so much of it. Uncle Steve was always afraid to hold newborns–until Megan was born. It is funny how that works. Shawn, I’m sure your Dad IS proud of you all and watching over you as you said. God Bless! Aunt N.
